Nigerian music superstar Davido has revealed he would be donating about N250,000,000 from his fundraiser to charity.
David Adeleke better known by his stage name Davido has announced that he would be giving away all the money he made from his birthday fundraising to orphanages across Nigeria. The amount to be distributed is N250,000,000.
Some days ago, the “Champion Sound” crooner jokingly asked his friends to make donations to him as a gift towards his birthday celebration. In about two days, the singer received N200 million in donations.
In a public letter to the public, Davido said he added his personal money of N250,000,000 to the money raised and all that money would be given to charity.
To ensure fairness in the disbursement of the funds, he set up a 5-man panel to oversee the distribution of the money. He added that he hopes to continue this philanthropy every year during his birthday.
