Dave Chappelle Confirmed to Work With Netflix for Another Comedy Special

Following his controversial Netflix comedy special, Dave Chappelle appears to be back in business with the streaming giant for their Netflix Is A Joke festival next year.

Netflix Is A Joke was initially supposed to occur in 2020 but due to COVID-19, the comedy festival has been postponed to April 29 to May 8, 2022. The festival is set to take over 25 of Los Angeles’ largest venues and will bring together some of the biggest names in the comedy sector. Along with Chappelle, the festival will feature Jerry Seinfeld, David Letterman, Tina Fey, Amy Schumer, Chris Rock, Ali Wong, Hasan Minhaj and Ronnie Chieng taking the stage from the Dodger Stadium to the Hollywood Bowl.

Others taking the stage at the festival include Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlinson, Pete Davidson, Seth Rogen, Tig Notaro, Kevin Hart, Ray Romano, Ken Jeong, Amy Poehler, Aziz Ansari, Bill Burr, Iliza Shlesinger, Chelsea Handler, Conan O’Brien, Deon Cole, Eddie Izzard and Ellen DeGeneres. Noticeably not on the list is fellow comedian Hannah Gadsby who had been on the receiving end of Chappelle’s mockery. Due to the Chappelle incident, the National Labor Relations Board has currently an ongoing review of Netflix for the alleged “unfair labor practices” for firing and suspending staff.

In other entertainment news, William Shattner’s Blue Origin space voyage is cooming an Amazon documentary.
