Less than a month after its release, Ryan Murphy‘s Dahmer: Monster – The Jeffrey Dahmer Story has landed as Netflix’s second most-watched English series.
The biographical limited ten-part series clocked 205.33 million hours viewed globally during its third week on the streaming platform, Deadline reported. This brings the total number of hours Dahmer has been viewed since its premiere to 701.37 million, with 196.2 million hours watched in its first week and 299.84 million in its second.
In terms of overall hours viewed, Dahmer is just second place to Stranger Things 4, which accrued 1.35 billion hours in its first month on the streamer.
Alongside co-creators Murphy and Ian Brennan, who also serve as executive producers, Dahmer is produced by Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, Evan Peters, Janet Mock and Carl Franklin.
Evan Peters stars as the infamous serial killer. Dahmer’s father and mother are portrayed by Richard Jenkins and Molly Ringwald, respectively, while Dahmer’s grandmother is played by Michael Learned. Niecy Nash rounds out the main cast as a neighbor who grows increasingly suspicious of Dahmer’s activities.
The majority of the story is told from the perspective of Dahmer’s victims and centers on police negligence regarding his crimes, enabling Dahmer to continue his multi-year killing spree.
