DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (Interscope) featuring Roddy Ricch is on track for a second week atop the U.K.’s singles chart, while Sleaford Mods have the early edge on the national albums survey.
Jason Williamson and Andrew Fearn, the Nottingham electronic duo who record and perform as Sleaford Mods, lead the Official Charts Update with the career retrospective All That Glue (Rough Trade), ahead of Lewis Capaldi’s Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent (EMI).
Capaldi’s hit debut LP is surging a year to the week since it first led the chart and it’s the most-streamed album at the midweek stage.
It’s tight at the top. According to the Official Charts Company, just 1,100 chart sales separate the top 5.
Also new to the midweek albums chart is Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit who are looking for a career best peak with their seventh studio album Reunions (Southeastern). It’s at No. 4 based on midweek data and, according to the OCC, it’s the most downloaded album in the first half of the chart cycle.
Atlanta rapper Future could earn his first U.K. top 5 entry with High Off Life (Epic/Freebandz). It’s at No. 5 on the midweek survey.
With DaBaby looking to lock-up another week at No. 1 on the Official Singles Chart, it’s Katy Perry who enjoys the highest debut in the first three days with “Daisies” (Virgin).
After performing the song during the finale of American Idol, Perry’s latest is tracking at No. 25 and should go on to be the U.S. pop star’s 28th U.K. top 40 hit.
