Cordae and Anderson .Paak have joined forces for their third collaboration. In 2019, the duo first linked up for the song “RNP,” which appeared on Cordae’s debut studio album The Lost Boy, and four years later, they collaborated once again on “Two Tens.”
The latest track is called “Summer Drop,” an aptly titled anthem for the summer season. While .Paak is technically a guest artist on the song, it sounds more like a joint track, as the two trade bars, laid over a voice singing the words, “When the summer drop.”
Like their two earlier collaborations, the song is produced by J. Cole, while Samba directed a light-hearted visual to pair with it.
Cordae is expected to drop his new album, The Crossroads, sometime before the end of the year.
