Comedy Central to Premiere ‘South Park: The 25th Anniversary Concert’

A two-night event will be held on August 9-10 at Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, Colorado, to celebrate South Park‘s 25th anniversary. Starring co-creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, along with groups Primus, and Ween, the concert is lined up with performances of iconic songs from the series. South Park: The 25th Anniversary Concert will premiere on August 13 on Comedy Central and will be available to stream the following day, August 14, on Paramount+. Comedy Central’s premiere date overlaps with the 25th anniversary of South Park‘s first ever episode on August 13, 1997.

“We’re so excited to go home and play at Red Rocks, a place that’s been known for hosting the most legendary artists and musicians. Until now.” Parker and Stone said in a joint statement.

MTV Entertainment Studio’s deal with Parker and Stone extends South Park on Comedy Central through 2027. In addition, bringing the series through its 30th unprecedented season and introducing 14 original made-for-streaming South Park movies exclusively for Paramount+.

In other entertainment news, Jon Wick was supposed to be a 75-year-old man.
