Coldplay has made a comeback with a fresh single titled “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love” or stylized as “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” which is the first track from their upcoming album, Moon Music, set to be released on Oct. 4. Crafted by pop maestro Max Martin, “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love” is a radiant tribute to embracing vulnerability and opening one’s heart, despite the potential risks. Chris Martin croons, “Feels like I’m falling in love/You’re throwing me a lifeline/Oh now for the first time/I know I’m not alone,” on the final chorus, leading to a grand finale with a stadium-sized outro.

Recently, Coldplay unveiled Moon Music, their 10th studio album and the successor to 2021’s Music of the Spheres. Before the release of “Feels Like I’m Falling in Love,” the band premiered another new track, “All My Love,” during their inaugural concert in Athens, Greece earlier this month. Martin humorously mentioned that the audience wasn’t supposed to hear the song until September, hinting at its inclusion in Moon Music (although a complete tracklist is yet to be revealed).

Upon announcing Moon Music, Coldplay mentioned that the album would be available in various formats adhering to “new sustainability standards.” For example, every vinyl copy of the album will be produced from nine recycled plastic bottles, while the CD version will be made from 90 percent recycled polycarbonate. The band’s eco-friendly efforts are expected to reduce CO2 emissions during production by a minimum of 78 percent and prevent the use of over five metric tonnes of virgin plastic.
