David Toritseju Tonayan, widely known as Codest Boi, is a rising Nigerian artist from Lagos, Nigeria, who emerged during the reign of Afro pop music. Starting his music journey in 2012, Codest Boi later moved to Ghana in 2014 to further pursue his passion.

Nigerian artists such as Wizkid, Wande Coal, Fela, 2face, Psquare, Runtown, and Olamide have also played a significant role in shaping his musical journey. Internationally, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Chris Brown, and Drake have inspired Codest Boi in his career.
