A clip has now surfaced showcasing Boba Fett bounty hunting in a canceled Star Wars video game from LucasArts.
Featured above, the three-minute clip features the galaxy’s most infamous bounty hunter venturing through the dark and grimy underbelly of Coruscant, tracking down his targets while maneuvering in a parkour-like manner. While the clip itself has just come into the limelight, it turns out that similar video footage was released a few years ago by then LucasArts animation director James Zachary, who worked on the canceled title Star Wars 1313.
The game itself was developed by LucasArts back in the early 2010s, and the studio subsequently dropped a trailer during E3 of 2012. Unfortunately, when Disney acquired LucasFilm and all its subsidiaries, the media giant decided to shut down the video game studio, ultimately writing off the game.
For the time being, there’s no indication from Disney or any other developer that a game revolving around Boba Fett is in the works, but with his recent revival in popularity thanks to The Book of Boba Fett, fans can still remain hopeful that something like Star Wars 1313 could finally be created.
