Chloe x Halle let their star power shine at the 2020 People’s Choice Awards with their performance of “Ungodly Hour” on Sunday (Nov. 15).
The pair took the stage in matching skin-tight metallic black outfits with futuristic cuts. Their four backup dancers channeled The Matrix with their trench coats, head-to-toe black and sunglasses. The dancers also wore matching black face masks as the sisters sang the song, the title track from their second studio album.
“When you decide you like yourself (holla at me)/ When you decide you need someone (call up on me)/ When you don’t have to think about it/ Love me at the ungodly hour,” Chloe x Halle sang in ethereal harmony during their set, which was a slick black with sharp lines of light.

Demi Lovato hosted the People’s Choice Award, which was broadcast live from Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, Calif. With the coronavirus pandemic still ongoing, the star hosted with “audience” members displayed on giant screens around her, as if in a giant virtual meeting. Celebrity presenters and winners were on hand in person to give and accept the awards.
