Chevrolet has just unveiled its new Corvette Z06 70th Anniversary Edition.
Both the Corvette Stingray and Corvette Z06 are going on to their 70th year as a household name in the world of sports cars, and so Chevrolet has done something special to pay tribute to the American supercar icon.
“Passion for Corvette runs deep at Chevrolet and this anniversary is extra special because of the excitement and sales success we’ve achieved with the eighth generation of America’s iconic sports car,” said Steve Majoros, vice president, Chevrolet marketing. “Even after 70 years, Corvette still makes hearts race and kids dream of the open road.”
Arriving in the choice of White Pearl Metallic Tri-coat or Carbon Flash Metallic, the 70th Anniversary Corvette sees distinct wheel center caps, Edge Red wheel stripes, two-tone Ceramic Leather GT2 seats, red stitching throughout, sueded microfiber detailing, Edge Red brake calipers, Corvette Crossflag badging, and a custom luggage set. There will also be the option for racing stripes.
Marking the occasion, VIN 001 will be auctioned off at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale on January 29 where proceeds will go towards benefitting Operation Homefront.
