Chelsea manager Frank Lampard faced with critical transfer decisions

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard faced with critical transfer decisions
Frank Lampard, after two competitive games as Chelsea boss, has acknowledged that “performances and results will define how long I am here”.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is faced with critical transfer decisions when the transfer window finally opens.

There are many doubts of the futures of some of his regular first-team players such as Jorginho, Olivier Giroud, Willian and Pedro at the Stamford Bridge.

orginhois wanted by Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri, the bond between the manager and Jorginho is still very intact right from their days at Napoli and Chelsea before the Italian quit Stamford Bridge for Juventus.

Sarri has proposed a swap deal that involves Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic going to Chelsea and Jorginho to Juventus a proposal Jorginho would entertain in his widest dream as his affinity with his former boss remains unscratched.

The Chelsea vice-captain is instrumental to Lampard set up, though Lampard is not expected to agree to such deal at the moment.

With the current global pandemic affecting the economy, clubs must be careful they way they will transact when it comes to buying and selling of players.

Lampard will need to reassess the future of Olivier Giroud who is on his last year at the club, same goes with Pedro and Willian.

Willian wants to remain at Stamford Bridge but Chelsea is not willing to meet his requirement because of his age, the club is willing to offer just two years but the Brazilian attacker wants a three-year deal, for a player above 30 years of age Chelsea offer just a year deal, the club broke their policy and offer him two years but he wants more than that from the Stamford Bridge directors.

Pedro is keen on staying for a year deal but Chelsea is not prepared to talk about an extension for the Spanish attacker and Chelsea vice-captain Jorginho he is wanted by Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri and Sarri has proposed a swap deal involving Miralem Pjanic moving to Stamford Bridge and Jorginho moving to Juventus, an offer Lampard is not expected to give in to.

Lampard needs to make critical decisions ahead of the summer transfer in a bid, not to over alter the flow of the team who has surprised many in Lampard debut season at the Stamford Bridge.
