Chance the Rapper has dropped new teaser for his upcoming album, Star Line Gallery in the form of a short video. The long-awaited album is the sophomore follow-up to his massive 2019 record The Big Day. In a video posted to social media, Chance gives fans a glimpse at the process behind the album in a short snippet of his day-to-day.
Captioning the video, “I’ll be ready to go,” Chance sings an acapella backtrack with just these words, seemingly teasing that he is almost set to release the new project. Throughout the video, fans catch a glimpse of who the artist has been in the studio with, showing clips of Lil Wayne, T-Pain, JD, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri and many others seemingly recording their verses for the new album. While Chance the Rapper has not said too much about the release in public, he has been subtly dropping hints.
He previously dedicated his latest song “I Will Be Your” to the Black Star Line Festival that he hosted in Ghana alongside Vic Mensa. Last summer, Chance briefly spoke about the project in an interview and called it “one of my proudest projects in terms of writing and artistic vision.” The Chicago rapper has yet to announce a release date, but it looks like it could be imminent. Stay tuned.
