Ceramic Brussels Expands, Spotlighting Over 200 Artists

Ceramic Brussels is back. From January 23–26, 2025, the Tour & Taxis exhibition center will host the second edition of this one-of-a-kind fair, dedicated entirely to ceramics. Sixty-five galleries from 15 countries, featuring over 200 artists, will gather to showcase the medium’s evolution, from ancient traditions to cutting-edge interpretations. With a 20% boost in new participants compared to last year, visitors can expect an even broader selection, including group exhibitions and 20 solo shows.

This year’s highlights include a spotlight on Norway’s vibrant ceramic scene, marking the fair’s first country-specific focus. Five top Norwegian galleries will participate, supported by talks and panels on “Norwegian Day.” On the individual front, Elizabeth Jaeger, the 2025 Guest of Honor, will present a solo exhibition exploring her distinct artistic voice. Meanwhile, the expanded modern ceramics section bridges past and present, featuring works by 20th-century icons like Pablo Picasso and Pol Chambost alongside contemporary artists.

The fair isn’t just about European talent. Galleries from North America and Asia bring a global perspective, with names like Almine Rech and Hostler Burrows presenting dynamic group shows. Ceramic Brussels 2025 promises to deepen the dialogue around ceramics while celebrating the diversity and resilience of the medium.
