2020 Porsche Cayenne Coupe Review: Sportiness Hides Deep in the Blood

Hopefully, after 18 years of saying it, everyone has accepted the Porsche Cayenne as a real Porsche. Purists will always be difficult to win over, but the Cayenne has shown itself to be as fun to drive as an SUV can be while still being practical and even off-road capable. Just to be sure you’ve gotten the message, Porsche has doubled-down on the sport factor with the 2020 Cayenne Coupe. While the Cayenne can be had with up to 670 hp and all manner of handling aids—from rear steering to active anti-roll bars—it begins life as a humble SUV with just 335 hp to its name. Those standard Cayennes get around well enough, but with the Cayenne Coupe, Porsche really wants to sell the sportiness that the rakish roofline is promising. This is why all Cayenne Coupes come standard with the Sport ...

I Don’t Wear Much Makeup Thanks to These Skincare Buys

Personally? I’ve always been quite lazy when it comes to makeup (which, I appreciate, is a luxury) and for about a decade now under-eye concealer, mascara and eyebrow pencil have been my go-tos. This has, however, meant that I’ve ended up becoming more invested in skincare, specifically creating a routine which allows me to spend as little time as possible applying product in the morning. It’s also worth noting that I am a bad sleeper, so it’s often a battle to keep my skin from looking dull and tired, and in the past have struggled with the odd low-level, stress-induced bout of acne (mostly on my cheeks).  It’s only in the last year or so that I have refined my routine down to a winning edit. I ...

Trust Me—These Are the Tech Accessories That Will Make You Want to Work Out

There are two versions of myself in the pandemic. The first is a person who’s enthusiastic about working out—sometimes four runs a week, a few HIIT YouTube sessions in the kitchen, and maybe a bit of yoga too. But that was the begging of lockdown and now, as we’re coming to the end of week 678 in this strange time of our lives, my motivation has started to wane. Instead of working out, my attention is drawn to funny YouTube videos and getting lost down an Instagram hole, all while eating my way through a hefty chunk of Dairy Milk. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that but I know that I’ll feel much better once my love of exercising returns. So, what’s the solution? A bit of extra kit to help me get going again.  I’m not an expert, however, so I spoke to personal trainer Richard Ha...

7 Chic Ways French Women Wear a Basic T-Shirt

If you think about it, the pillars of the average French woman’s wardrobe are basics. You’ve got jeans, blazers, ankle boots, cardigans, midi dresses, miniskirts, and of course, T-shirts. French women are not sloppy dressers by nature, so you won’t see most of them throwing on a baggy T-shirt, leggings, and flip-flops and calling it a day. Their T-shirt outfits are simple, but you can tell some thought went into them. I don’t know about you, but pretty much all I want to wear lately are T-shirts, and I’m in need of some fresh inspiration. So I scrolled through Instagram for a good 75 minutes (yep) and found seven T-shirt outfits that I’ve spotted on repeat on French women. Keep scrolling to shop the easy pieces needed to recreate them for ...

This Is the Trending Jeans Style for Summer—and It’s Super Comfy

I don’t think there’s anything new you can say about jeans. Even if they’re not the item you wear all the time, everyone owns at least one pair. Since the 1960s, they have been a mainstay in our wardrobes—they are the piece that anchors so many of our outfits. From weekend looks to casual dinners as well as that nice-top-and-jeans ensemble, they’re the background noise of our closets. They only make a real impact if you focus on them, and they let the other pieces in your outfit shine. If, like me, you’ve spent less time in jeans, preferring to wear leggings or smart trackies as you live out lockdown, then you might be wondering why you’d even bother wearing them again. Well, firstly, this situation won’t last forever, and secondly, 2020’s summer jeans trend is comfier th...

Hi-Diddly-Ho! Acura Just Put a $12,000 Discount on the RLX’s Hood

Acura will discontinue the slow-selling RLX after the 2020 model year, which means it might be the perfect time to snag one if you’re in the market. Right now, you can find discounts of up to $12,000 on the large sedan. The biggest deal isn’t being advertised on TV or online, though. According to CarsDirect, Acura is offering a dealer cash incentive of $11,000 on the RLX. Dealer cash is given by brands to its dealers so they can discount new cars at their discretion. Typically, its purpose is to help move vehicles off the lot, although dealers can choose to keep the money rather than pass on the discount to consumers. All versions of the 2020 Acura RLX are eligible for the incentive, according to CarsDirect. Buyers may have to do some shopping around to get the best deal. In ad...

2021 Lexus IS Backs That Thing Up in New Video Prior to Its June 15th Reveal

Mark your calendars, Lexus fans, because the Japanese luxury brand officially plans to unveil its 2021 IS sports sedan on June 15. Lexus even sent out a pair of teasers that show the new car’s rear end. Acura recently pulled a similar move with its 2021 TLX sedan, one of the IS’s competitors.  As Lexus’s photos and video show, the new IS compact luxury sedan incorporates a full-width light bar tail lamp style cribbed from the UX crossover SUV. Despite its all-new uni-taillight, the rest of the car is fairly familiar—it reportedly sits atop the same platform used by the current model. There are improvements, of course, including a wider rear track, but the new IS won’t be “all-new,” just mostly new.  We expect the same four- and six-cylinde...

4 Simple Tricks to Elevate Your At-Home Attire

With many of us currently spending a lot more time at home than we usually would, it can be all too easy to fall into the habit of not fully getting dressed in the morning. From living in leggings to avoiding real footwear, home life usually revolves around simply wearing whatever is the most comfortable. I for one, accidentally left the house to go to the supermarket in my slippers, so that gives you an indication as to how comfortable I am right now. However, just because you might be spending time at home doesn’t mean you should stop putting on the outfits that make you feel your best. Whether you choose to add a bold colourful jumper to your legging look or style your favourite hair accessory with your trackies, often, simple additions can work to elevate not only your ...

This Is My Secret to Finding Expensive-Looking Pieces on the High Street

The reality is, most of us don’t have a spare £500 to spend on a designer coat, and historically, the high street hasn’t exactly been known for quality or longevity. However, over the last few years, it seems as though the likes of H&M, ASOS and Topshop have clocked onto the demand for something more weighty. The result? A slew of dedicated high-street premium lines that commit to high-end designs. As a fashion editor, I’ve found these collections to be invaluable for discovering those affordable yet expensive-looking gems. The brands are keen to separate these high-end offerings from the mainline collections and put lots of time and effort into making them feel special, which means the items often feel more designer than some designer brands....

I’ve Been Shaving My Face in the Name of Beauty, And I Have Some Thoughts

But then, one afternoon a couple of months ago, as I cleared out my beauty stash, I stumbled across a pack of three single-blade women’s facial razors in my bathroom cabinet. They had been sent to me by a brand many moons ago when I was writing a feature about the new-at-the-time beauty fad of dermaplaning. A form of professional, mechanical exfoliation popular in salons and clinics, dermaplaning is the beauty industry’s fancy name for face shaving. Usually carried out with a single-blade razor, it works to remove dead skin and, more importantly for me, vellus hair (peach fuzz) to leave your complexion looking smoother and brighter.  And I say that dermaplaning was a “new” treatment but in fact, from Cleopatra to Marilyn Monroe, rumour has it that some of beauty’s most influential wom...

2021 Nissan Rogue First Look: Nissan Teases Its All-New Compact SUV

Update: Nissan has released a teaser image of the 2021 Rogue ahead of its debut on June 15. The Nissan Rogue has been the automaker’s bread-and-butter model in the United States for years, having surpassed the Altima sedan as the brand’s bestseller in 2016. As such, the Rogue is a hugely important model for Nissan, and any redesign thus carries tremendous expectations on its roof racks. The next-generation Nissan Rogue will arrive for the 2021 model year, and we have a pretty good idea of what it will look like thanks to a patent application, a new teaser image, and the skills of our illustrator. 2021 Nissan Rogue Design Recently, a Nissan document filed with the Brazilian government, and unearthed by Motor 1, revealed featureless design renderings (see the images in our g...
