2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE Review: Can It Compete With Honda and Hyundai?

Thanks to low gas prices and a growing demand for SUVs, midsize hybrid sedans aren’t the most popular vehicles on the market right now. Still, these cars deserve a second look because they boast spacious interiors and excellent fuel economy. The 2020 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE is no exception, offering buyers an alternative to the ubiquitous Prius. But is it worth the money? Find out our thoughts below. Is It Efficient? In a word, yes. The Camry Hybrid is much more efficient than the regular Camry, which is rated at 29/41/34 mpg. On the base LE trim, the Camry Hybrid tops out at 51/53/52 mpg. If you opt for the SE or XLE, those numbers drop slightly to 44/47/46 mpg (the gasser XLE gets 27/38/31). See all 27 photos Is It Fun to Drive? If you’re looking for a sporty sedan, the Camry...

Will There Be a 7th Gen Chevy Camaro? It Doesn’t Look Good

First off, in the interest of full disclosure, we don’t know any more about the fate of the 7th generation Chevy Camaro than most online psychics. The only people that do know, at GM, have a habit of saying almost nothing about anything future product related. But speculation is fun. It was a great chance to have our friend, vehicle designer Micheal Castiglione, sketch up what he thought a 7th gen Camaro could look like in this age of MPG-driven aerodynamics. You can see more of Castiglione’s rendering artwork HERE. He does the Week To Wicked art, so check him out. See all 6 photos That said, it’s starting to look like 2023 will be a repeat of the year 2002 for the Camaro and its legion of fans. Those that remember the dark days of ’02, when the 4th gen Camaro ...

20 Of The Best Summer Jackets for Cloudy Grey Days

Unfortunately, in the UK, summer does not necessarily equal great weather. And while we may love to sport our linen mini dresses and floral-laden midis, often we are also required to have an outfit backup plan.  I know jackets may not necessarily be the item on the top of your wish-list during the summer months, but let me tell you, for practicality purposes they could be the most important items you own. From blazers to trenches and tailored denim, there are several trans-seasonal jacket options around that are optimal for the grey summer days yet will also act as ideal outerwear through most of autumn.  With linen fabrics to other lightweight alternatives, seasonally-appropriate summer jackets are available in an array of different styles spanning casual and dres...

25 Epic Summer Buys That Are Still in Stock in the Net-a-Porter Sale

The Net-a-Porter summer sale is now in full swing, with many of pieces now reduced up to 70%. Trust us when we say there’s so much good stuff to sift through this year, but like any sale clicking through hundreds of pages of products can be a little overwhelming. This is where we come in. Plenty of cult buys have already been snapped up, but worry not, because there’s plenty of goodness left to unearth. The sales are always a chance to buy a little bit better than you would normally, so we recommend before you dive straight in thinking what is missing in your wardrobe, what would be really worth upgrading, and if you have any big events to forward plan for. For example, these sales are a great opportunity to buy wedding guest dresses for all the rescheduled ...

Celebs Love This Skincare Brand, and It’s My Secret to Glowing Skin Too

If there is one thing I have learned in my time as a beauty editor, it is this: A great formula does not a successful beauty product make. It’s painful to admit, but believe me when I say that the secret to a successful beauty launch is rarely down to whether or not the product actually works. Once upon a time, the success of a beauty launch was dependent on huge advertising budgets and maybe just a little bit on how good the formula was. Now, however, things are even shallower. In a world where social media runs the game, aesthetics come first, and it is with that shift that my job as a beauty editor has also changed.  Whereas it was once the role of a beauty editor to spread the news and wax lyrical about new launches, now with the power of social media, the job of pr...

Ford Makes Bronco a Brand for 4×4 SUVs

The 2021 Ford Bronco is probably the most-anticipated new vehicle being unveiled this year. Ford knows it and is making strategic marketing hay out of the iconic name by making it a brand unto itself. That’s right: Bronco is being billed as a new outdoor brand by Ford, with four-wheel drive standard across the lineup and “Built Wild” as a tagline.  It will include the true Bronco family of two- and four-door 4×4 SUVs that borrow the body-on-frame construction of the Ford Ranger pickup for strength and durability. The 2021 model is designed to continue the original G.O.A.T. (go over any terrain) capabilities of the original, with standard four-wheel drive and a Bronco-specific version of Ford’s terrain management system that adapts for better traction in sa...

The Willys M274 Mechanical Mule Looks Goofy but Seriously Hauls

The Willys MB Jeep (and its direct civilian descendants) gets all the glory, but there are plenty of military vehicles that play important roles well away from the front line. Think about the trucks that deliver fuel to frontline tactical vehicles, fight fires, or transport tanks and APCs…they get less of the glory but are a critical part of any battlefield success. The M274 Mule looks ridiculous, frankly, but with more cargo capacity than a contemporary Jeep and its tiny dimensions, it served a very useful role in the Vietnam War era and beyond. See all 11 photos Developed by Willys, the Mule was as bare-bones as you could get. Think of it a bit like a tiny flatbed that happens to have an engine and a minimalist driver’s station attached. The rest of it is platform, able to haul a v...

The Unlikely Bikini Trend to Try If You Have Small Boobs

It was only earlier this year that I stumbled across what I now call the holy grail of swimwear for small boobs, and that’s the underwired, unpadded bikini. Of course, it all started when I spotted Lucy Williams in a tangerine-coloured two-piece from Peony. Considering that underwiring had long been mentally filed away under “do not touch with a barge pole,” I couldn’t get over how flattering it looked—it felt like an altogether chicer, natural-shape enhancing and functional option within the bikini world. Yep, I was well and truly influenced. I nabbed the same style in the Net-a-Porter sale and haven’t looked back since. Also, it’s worth noting that many of this summer’s underwire bikini tops come with either ’8...

The Easiest Way To Make Your Summer Staples Look Expensive This Summer

Spotting the recurring themes in high street pieces that achieve the illusive ‘expensive-looking‘ status is a favourite pastime of mine (niche, but useful for my job). What strange alchemy has to occur to ensure that something affordable appears high-end? I wonder. What shapes, colours and fits have to combine to create an item that rivals big name designers? Well, as you can imagine, the answer isn’t straight forward. It’s almost impossible to apply a universal rule that stands forevermore, however each season there tends to be particular motifs, be it a silhouette or fabric, that particularly stand out to me. This season? It has to be pleated fabric.  You Deserve to Make Money Even When you are looking for Dates Online. So we reimagin...
