These Are Without a Doubt the Dewiest, Most Glowing Foundations Out There

Let me preface this by saying that I have a very turbulent relationship with foundation. Any product that works to cover up all of the things that make skin look like yours is a big no-no if you ask me. And all too often, I find that so many foundations do just that. They leave skin looking flat, dull and void of life. Given the fact that every single aspect of my beauty routine is dedicated to brining out my inner glow, trying to find the perfect, natural-looking base that works to smooth and blur without totally repainting my complexion has proven tricky over the years. In fact, I’ve tried just about every foundation that’s ever come my way in a bid to find the most glowing, second-skin formula.  It’s safe to say that it’s been a rough ride. Naturally, I have come across a bunc...

Chevrolet Silverado HD Pickups Take Center Stage In Trump’s Latest Political Theater

A pair of Chevrolet Silverado heavy-duty pickups took center stage on the White House lawn yesterday as part of a theatrical ploy to show off the “burden of regulations,” per CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller. Knoller tweeted out a photo of the blue and red Chevy trucks, the former of which carried proverbial—and, well, literal—regulatory weights in its bed.  Where the White House sourced the trucks remains a mystery. MotorTrend reached out to both General Motors and the Office of Management and Budget for clarification to determine if the trucks were supplied by the manufacturer. However, we have yet to receive a concrete answer from either GM or the OMB.  Our colleagues at Jalopnik, though, received word from a GM spokesperson that the company was...

Would You Pay $370,000 for a Subaru? The Impreza 22B Complicates Things

Like any good enthusiast car to come out of Japan, the Subaru WRX has so many variants it takes some real study to get all the permutations down. But if you ask a Subaru nut what the greatest road-going Impreza of all time is, you’re likely to get a humble-sounding model as the answer: 22B. And you’ll likely get that answer very, very quickly. The reason for the 22B’s hold on Subie fans? A combination of extreme rarity, WRC rally car looks, and hints that it might be even more formidable than Subaru claims. For one, only 424 were built—400 for Japan, 16 for the U.K., five for Australia, and three prototypes. That’s it. And those looks, sure, Subaru has the WRC cred to back them up. The 22B was built to celebrate three consecutive FIA World Championship tit...

I’ve Just Tried Some New Vegan Nail Polish—and I’m Seriously Impressed

I don’t want to toot my own horn but I have a specific beauty skill that I’m incredibly proud of. I can’t wax my own legs without crying out in pain (and yet I’ve been in labour) and I absolutely wouldn’t go anywhere near box hair dye but I can paint my nails really well. Yes, I love a proper mani like anyone but I’ve managed to hone this skill to such a degree that even beauty editors I’ve worked with think it’s salon-level. I might not be good at self-promotion in anything else, but on this I’m certain. So, you’ll indulge me then when I tell you that I’ve found some great nails varnishes, and even better they’re vegan.  Firstly, though, you’ll probably want to know what makes a nail varnish vegan. From my research, it means that vegan polish is free of any animal byproduct...

Riding The Wave of Emotions? Here’s How To Match Your Fragrance To Your Mood

It’s fair to say that the coronacoaster of emotions is so real. With my mood being subject to change at a moments notice, I’ve found myself heading to my perfume collection to help me out.  Whether I’m feeling a bit low or just want to boost my energy, there’s something incredibly powerful and indulgent about applying perfume to stay at home. As my debit card is urging me to spend some money that I usually keep for restaurants and travelling, investing in some more fragrances has been on my to-do list. I’ve started to divide my perfume collection up into moods and while perfume is always a personal choice, I spoke with the fragrance experts at Penhaligon’s who gave me the scoop on the notes to go for, when you’re in need of a vi...

We Selected the Best Buys From Topshop’s, H&M’s and Mango’s Summer Drops

Many of the highlights are styles you probably already have at home, so if you’re trying to cut back on spending right now, feel free to use our edit to help pinpoint pieces in your pre-existing capsule. We’re thinking classic white tees paired with beige joggers and gold jewellery, utility jumpsuits thrown together with chunky sandals, and plenty of knee-grazing, floaty smock dresses. Neutrals are still hogging the limelight for 2020, but if you want to introduce some colour, then try pale yellow (see H&M’s dreamy wrap-over blouse) or rusted orange (Mango’s puffed-sleeved midi is perfection).  So whether you’re on the lookout for some fresh outfit inspo or in need of new pieces to fill holes in your summer wardrobe,...

These Shirt-and-Shorts Co-Ords Make Getting Dressed So Much Easier

If there’s one thing I know to be true, it is that choosing what to wear in the morning can be a difficult task. I’m always looking for new ways to simplify the process and eliminate the perpetual choice paralysis. This is why I am a huge advocate of the recent co-ord trend, which basically does the decision making for you.  From Ganni to Stine Goya, Faithfull to & Other Stories, this season, several brands have created stylish shirt-and-shorts coordinating sets that make getting dressed that much easier. Between the polka-dot patterns, linen fabrics, and frilled iterations, there is a style out there for every aesthetic, which means that no matter your preference, there is likely a co-ord for you.  And it seems I am not the only one who is championing t...

Broadway Stars Patti Murin & Colin Donnell Welcome First Child — Check Out Her Musical Name

Broadway couple Patti Murin and Colin Donnell welcomed their first baby girl, Cecily Philips Donnell, earlier this week — and her name might sound familiar. “Meet Cecily Philips Donnell, born on July 14th. She’s strong as heck and ready to change the world, and we have never loved anything more in our lives,” Murin wrote an Instagram Friday (July 17) along with a picture of the family of three in the hospital. “‘Life is not the things that we do, it’s who we’re doing them with.'” Murin quoted a lyric from “Cecily Smith” by Will Connolly, a bonus track from the 2014 original Off-Broadway production Fly By Night: A New Musical, which she starred in. The new mother did not explicitly explain whether they named their daug...

2020 Chevy C8 Corvette For Sale: Ran When Dropped, Needs TLC

Given the newness of the mid-engine Chevrolet Corvette C8, its limited quantities, and general lack of second-hand examples, those looking to heavily modify a C8 don’t have that many options. Why pay full price for a factory fresh example when you’re just going to cut it up, juice the engine, and more? This 2020 C8 Corvette might be just the ticket for you, if you’re looking for something both affordable and unlikely to spill tears from a Vette fan dismayed to see you significantly alter it. Or, hey, maybe you’re that Vette fanatic, and you’d like to save this C8 from the crusher or a wayward modifier and restore it back to its original glory. Either way, this C8 suffered some misfortune in its brief life so far. It quite literally was dropped as a baby. The s...

The 1991 Ferrari F40 Is Still an Outrageous Poster Child, 30 Years Later

The Ferrari F40 is an incredible vehicle, a refugee from an alternate universe in which Ferrari entered Group B rallying with a fury. Descended from the 288 GTO, it was also one of Enzo Ferrari’s pet projects in his twilight years, one of the final incarnations of his legacy. For the rest of us, it was one of the perfect poster vehicles, offering fascinating and otherworldly shapes and angles from every viewpoint—the perfect thing to lay in bed and contemplate. Details such as the wing and its little gills, the pop-ups over the glassed-in elements, the NACA ducts in the hood, and the all-business mesh panel housing the absurdly simple taillights. The “F40” logo itself. It’s all outrageous, more an air superiority fighter sans wings than a beautiful Pininfarina road ...

‘Check’ Out Iggy Azalea’s Latest Sultry Outfit: Pics

Iggy Azalea has her 13.5 million Instagram followers “checking” out her latest Fashion Nova outfit. In yesterday’s (July 16) quarantine ‘fit pic, the “Fancy” rapper stays classy and cool with a mimosa in hand, showing off a checkered two-piece set that had Noah Cyrus commenting, “wwoow.” The artist (real name Amethyst Amelia Kelly) unveiled the name of her newborn son, Onyx, on Instagram earlier this week with a voice recording titled “Amethyst & Onyx,” revealing his adorable coos. Last month, she announced she had given birth and that she wanted fans to respect her family’s privacy. “I want to keep his life private but wanted to make it clear he is not a secret & I love him beyond...
