Just as he did with his stellar 2018 album POST-, Jeff Rosenstock has released its follow-up without any advanced notice. Yes, there’s a brand new Jeff Rosenstock album out in the wild: It’s called NO DREAM and it’s now streaming in full via Apple Music, Spotify, and all other digital music providers. A vinyl version of the album will be available August 21st (pre-orders are now ongoing). Spanning 13 tracks, NO DREAM marks Rosenstock’s first release since re-locating to Los Angeles. Working alongside producer Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Hard Girls, Joyce Manor) at Oakland’s Atomic Garden, he recorded directly to tape with outboard gear and mixed the album entirely himself. “It was feeling like a very personal record for me,” says Rosenstock of NO DREAM. “A lot of it was stemming from the anx...
Each month, Consequence of Sound rounds up a full list of new TV and film titles coming to Disney Plus. June 2020 is no exception and should add some much-needed Mouse House whimsy to your living room. The big addition is the worldwide premiere of Artemis Fowl. Directed by Kenneth Branagh and based on the 2001 novel-of-the-same-name, the film was originally intended for theaters before the world turned upside down. Viewers may also be intrigued to see the season finales for both Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian and Be Our Chef. Meanwhile, nostalgics should find solace in revisiting both Schoolhouse Rock and Muppet Babies. Check out the entire list below. However, if you’re looking for more adult selections, you can check out what’s going down at Netflix and keep a look out for our guides on...
Sia’s last proper album, This is Acting, hit shelves more than four years ago. The pop superstar has been quite busy since then, though — and not just with her music. Not only is she working on the soundtrack to a movie she herself directed, she has also expanded her own family by adopting two 18-year-old boys. Marking Sia’s feature directorial debut, the forthcoming film is called Music. Co-written by Sia and children’s author Dallas Clayton, it’s based on a short story the singer penned in 2007. The story follows the life of an autistic teenager (Maddie Ziegler) who is cared for by her drug-dealing half-sister (Kate Hudson). If you’ll recall, actor and dancer Ziegler often appears in Sia’s music videos, including the now-classic clip for “Chandelier”, one of the best hits of the 201...
Remember when Fyre Festival seemed like the closest thing to the apocalypse? Kendall Jenner sure does, as she was sued over her involvement in the doomed festival back in December. Three years after the event was meant to take place, the 24-year-old model can finally put the ordeal behind her — and it’ll only cost her $90,000. Along with a number of musicians and influencers, Jenner was sued by Gregory Messer, the trustee in charge of the bankruptcy for Fyre Media, co-founded by Fyre Fest mastermind and disgraced entrepreneur scam artist Billy McFarland. The lawsuits are aiming to recover the reported $14.4 million McFarland spent planning the luxury festival. $275,000 of that sum was paid to Jenner for a single Instagram post promoting the event, something the trustee argued amounted...
Can a hot seat catch fire? Nelson, already the subject of Total Madness chaos, was forced to find out on the show’s most recent installment. But can he beat the odds and survive? On tonight’s Challenge episode, the Are You the One? export — who’s no stranger to fiery nomination ceremonies (kindly refer back to Tori‘s Purgatory sentencing for evidence) — once again supplied enough fireworks to light up an Independence Day beach side. Nelson, already a target for Purgatory by a handful of women he’d insulted in the house, found himself even more vulnerable to elimination after losing the memory game Decontamination. As the Tribunal — Bananas, Wes and Mattie — began to mull over potential Purgatory picks for the game’s very first double elimination, the res...
Source: Bernard Smalls / @PhotosByBeanz Does 50 Cent have goons down under? An Australian artist who has been masterfully trolling the Queens rappers with viral murals claims he was assaulted because of his art. Tuesday (May.20), the artist who goes by the name of Lushsux shared a screenshot of one of 50’s latest social media posts Instagram and in the caption claimed he was put in the hospital by “6 or 7” goons. The picture was one of his murals that was a mashup of the “Wanksta” rapper and Mike Tyson that hilariously worked very well together. The post also featured another photo of him on what appears to be a hospital bed with a bloody pillow. “50 seems to want some more walls? Unfortunately, some 6 or 7 smoothebrains at one time on the street already put me in hospital already th...
Gotta give it to Tory Lanez. Even during this quarantining period which has slowed up many artists grinds around the game, he’s not only managed to keep himself in the spotlight with his Quarantine Radio live shows, but he’s even dropped a few visuals along the way. Today the Canadian crooner comes through with his latest clip to “Temperature Rising” where he not only ditches the whole notion of social distancing, but even swaps saliva with a sexy young lady. We hope she got tested for COVID-19 before they filmed this video, bro! Wonder if he found her on Quarantine Radio. Machine Gun Kelly meanwhile continues to go the Hip-Pop or Rock-Pop route and for his visuals to “Bloody Valentine” finds himself at the mercy of an abusive Megan Fox. Not many men would complain about being in such a “d...

Last season’s Succession had its fair share of moments, but none was quite as, uh, interesting as when Kendall Roy (for a lack of a better term) let loose with a freestyle that was supposed to pay tribute to his father Logan “L to the OG.” Now, you can listen to that moment without having to scroll through the episode (and/or YouTube). HBO released a version of that, which features the vocals of Jeremy Strong and musical composition by Nicholas Britell. And, it’s just as cringeworthy as you remember when it first happened. For those of you unfamiliar, here are some of the lyrics: “Bro, don’t get it twisted, I’ve been through hell / But since I stan Dad, I’m alive and well. Shaper of views, creator of news / Father of many, paid all his dues. The Succession Season 2 soundtrack is ...
