Source: Prince Williams / Getty Looks like Killa Cam‘s about to come back with a connect that’ll turn him into a “Crack Gawd” for real for real. Unbeknownst to many, Cam’ron recently took a trip down to Colombia to shoot his latest visuals to the Brendan Cochrane and self-directed visuals to “Medellin.” But not only did he visit the town of cocaine kingpin legend Pablo Escobar, but Killa was even joined by the family of the iconic druglord who welcomed them into their home with open arms. Joining Pablo’s brother and co-founder of the Medellin Cartel, Roberto Escobar at his estate in Medellin, Colombia, Cam’ron uses the luxurious, yet humble property as the background for his video where he politics with Esobar’s family before playing soccer with the locals on a basketball court. We’re pret...

Guns N’ Roses Take Aim at Trump With New T-Shirt

Guns N’ Roses took aim at President Donald Trump’s trip to the Honeywell factory in Arizona last week when the 45th president of the United States walked around the vicinity without a mask on. The band has released a special edition t-shirt with “Live N’ Let Die With COVID 45″ on it, which claps back at Trump’s maskless tour of the same factory that is producing the N95 masks for the federal government. The proceeds from shirt sales will go to the Recording Academy’s MusiCares that’s providing services and resources for musicians in need, especially during the novel coronavirus pandemic. GNR leader Axl Rose hasn’t been shy about voicing out his opinions regarding the Trump administration’s response to the pandemic and even got into a Twitter beef with Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin....

Pearl Jam’s ‘Retrograde’ Video Shows End of the World and Features Greta Thunberg

Pearl Jam’s Gigaton was released in March and it’s safe to say, things have not gone according to plan since. But the good news: they shared a new video for their latest single, “Retrograde.” For the animated clip, the band teamed up with director Josh Wakely, it opens with a lone traveler driving through the rain and descending upon a strip mall. Visiting a psychic (in a shopping center conveniently with a bunch of the band’s album titles on the storefronts), the protagonist watches world destruction through a crystal ball as the melting glaciers and sea overtake iconic landmarks like Eiffel Tower in Paris, London Bridge in London and cities like New York and Seattle (think like Day After Tomorrow or 2012).  Tarot cards of the band appear and there’s an ...

Sarah Jarosz Shares the Origins of New Single “Maggie”: Stream

Our new music feature Origins gives an artist the opportunity to discuss some of the inspirations behind their latest track. Today, Sarah Jarosz introduces us to “Maggie”. Wistfulness has a different meaning in the era of a pandemic. No longer a fond longing for the past, it’s now a constant desire to just get out of the house. Yet it’s important to remember that, like everything, this is not a permanent state of existence, and those quaint feelings of youthful yearning are still valid. Grammy-winning folk artist Sarah Jarosz reminds us of that with her new song, “Maggie”. The sweet single off her forthcoming World on the Ground finds Jarosz reflecting on her life growing up in small town Texas. While she’s since escaped to the concrete wonder of New York City, those days driving “across t...

Senate Votes to Allow FBI to Monitor Browsing History Without a Warrant

Remember all those memes about the FBI spying on you through your computer? Well, the joke is about to become a very scary reality. The US Senate, led by Republican Senate majority leader Mitch McConnell, has just given law enforcement agencies the power to access your internet browsing history without a warrant. The ground-breaking ruling came Thursday as part of a move to reauthorize the Patriot Act, which was originally passed in 2001 in response to the September 11th attacks and affords the government broad surveillance powers. Now, federal agencies such as the FBI and the CIA don’t need a probable cause in order to obtain your online browsing data. Democratic Senator Ron Wyden of Oregon and Republican Senator Steve Daines of Montana had proposed an amendment that would have successful...

The Killers Dedicate ‘Caution’ to Healthcare Workers on Tonight Show

The Killers’ Brandon Flowers and drummer Ronnie Vanucci, who are currently quarantining together at Flowers’ home in Las Vegas brought their new single, “Caution.” to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon last night (May 13). “We’d like to a play song for all the healthcare workers who are putting themselves out on the frontlines helping everybody in need,” Vannucci, who took on guitar duties for this rendition, said before the performance. “We can’t tell you how much we appreciate that and how heroic that is. Four Tet Remixes Caribou’s “Never Come Back”: Stream

Before recording his latest album, Suddenly, Caribou (aka Dan Snaith) had a collection of some 900 song ideas. As he told our own Kyle Meredith, he relied on friend and fellow electronic artist Four Tet (aka Kieran Hebden) as something of a sounding board to help whittle that stack of demos down to the album’s final 12 tracks. Now, Snaith has handed one of those songs, “Never Come Back”, back to Hebden to put his own spin on with a remix. The remix was originally debuted during Four Tet’s recent Boiler Room: Streaming from Isolation set. Where Caribou’s original version is a springy dance club number, Four Tet’s take pushes it into rave territory. The eight-minute rendition is ginned up with the type of synth squiggles that have lighting designers fantasizing about all sorts of laser beams...
