As more and more artists and promoters look for new ways to connect with fans in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the live concert industry continues its transformation into something wholly different than it was just a few months ago. In an announcement that sounds more like a Black Mirror promo, dubstep maven Carnage has just announced that he is headlining “Road Rave,” a drive-in music festival in Orlando, Florida. Joining Carnage on the bill are fellow bass heavyweights Riot Ten, Nitti Gritti, GRAVEDGR, and Blunts & Blondes. Can you imagine the adrenaline-fueled, car-honking riot that is going to ensue when these trap and dubstep kingpins throw down? The show does, of course, come with some social distancing guidelines. For example, all cars must...

Source: Joseph Okpako / Getty Blueface might have to put some distance between him and the child of his mother after things got dicey at his digs recently. The “Thotiana” star recorded his son’s mother Jaidyn Alexis going on a rampage and smashing a window at his home as he filmed her. Sharing the moment with his fans on his Instagram Story feed, Blueface is shown laughing at Alexis’ tirade and then jokes that it must have been his sexual prowess that led to the violent outburst. “I got some good d*ck, on Crip. I got some good d*ck, on Crip,” Blueface is heard saying. Via social media, Alexis shared in her own IG Story and on Twitter that there was a lot more to the story. “Since we take sh*t to the gram. N*ggas lick asshole and then when b*tches do the pull up they run up stairs wit a sca...

The 16-track Fantastic Damage was anchored by singles such as “Stepfather Factory”, “Deep Space 9mm”, and “Truancy”. Editors’ Picks “This album is ...
Luca Guadagnino will soon prove the world is his. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Call Me By Your Name filmmaker has signed on to direct Universal’s long-gestating remake of Scarface. It gets better: Joel and Ethan Coen wrote the latest draft of the screenplay, topping a laundry list of contributors that includes Gareth Dunnet-Alcocer (Miss Balla), Jonathan Herman (Straight Outta Compton), and Paul Attanasio (Quiz Show), among others. The story will reportedly be set in Los Angeles. Guadagnino is no stranger to the remake game, having helmed the rather superb reimagining of Dario Argento’s Suspiria back in 2018. Editors’ Picks This marks the third take on Scarface, following Howard Hawks’ Chicago-set original in 1932 and Brian De Palma’s Miami-set remake in 1983 starring Al ...
Earlier this month, Annie Mac announced the launch of a new podcast called “Changes With Annie Mac.” “It is all about change, and how change can affect you. How it can completely derail you, knock you for six,” she said. “Change the way you look at the world and yourself. How it can define you as a person.” One of Annie’s recent guests was none other than famed Swedish singer, DJ, and record producer Robyn, who appeared on the podcast to discuss her experiences in therapy and how certain situations are “drawing a map over your life.” The Grammy-nominated dance music treasure, who EDM fans may recognize as the artist behind the iconic disco single “Dancing on My Own,” said she was ...
After 28 years of operation as the go-to hub of electronic dance music at the epicenter of Dallas nightlife, iconic local venue Lizard Lounge is tragically closing its doors for good. Citing increased costs to maintain its business due to the impact of COVID-19, Lizard Lounge owner Don Nedler took to Facebook to share the devastating news. “We had to make the most difficult decision today. After 28 years, we’re going to close Lizard Lounge,” he wrote. “The cost to maintain the business during the shutdown was overwhelming. I’d like to thank our employees. They‘re the best I’m the business. Thank you to everyone who enjoyed an evening, celebrated a special event or just came by for a drink and some great music. I’ve loved every minute of it and I’m not ...
If you’re looking for a Thursday pick-me-up with some serious attitude, Wuki and Diplo have you covered with their latest single “Chicken Wang,” featuring Snappy Jit. Out today via HARD Recs, the track is just as ridiculous as it sounds and stays true to Wuki and Diplo’s fun, energy-based rhythms. Think of it as the EDM ode to food, with messaging and a creative commitment to originality comparable to Kanye West‘s “Closed on Sunday.” The song is the first release off Wuki’s upcoming album, which the recent HARD Recs signee will release through his new label. It dives deep into his booty-bass and electro roots with pounding drum samples, upbeat vocal cuts and a drop full of rave whistles and reverb. In typical Wuki and Diplo fashio...
