With a simple seven-word tweet, Alison Wonderland made 2022 her year—as if that wasn’t already the case. “there will be an album in 2022,” wrote the dance music luminary, who recently released a brand new single from the record called “Fuck U Love You” alongside an eerie music video. Wonderland’s hotly anticipated third studio album was rumored to release in 2021, but to no avail. Just days before Kanye West‘s Free Larry Hoover Benefit Concert with Drake, we now have a first look at the set design for the unprecedented event. Thanks to aerial footage captured by CBS Los Angeles, it appears that Ye is putting together another evocative display at the Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles. The location for the concert is currently undergoing major construction, with a crew working to create a mount-like structure at the center of the stadium. CBS Los Angeles photojournalist John Schreiber notes, “Massive build out tonight for the Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Drake concert set for Dec. 9th at the LA Coliseum. Looks like a circular mound is being built with sand and concrete or stucco. At first, thought this was a monster truck rally setup.” The benefit concert is set to tak...
Devin Nunes, the California congressman who unsuccessfully sued Twitter over a fake cow parody account, has himself a new job: CEO of Donald Trump’s startup media and tech company. Nunes undoubtedly landed the job due to his blind allegiance to the disgraced former president, and not because of his credentials. Prior to joining the US House of Representatives, Nunes was a dairy farmer. Once inside the hallowed halls of Congress, he made a name for himself by whipping up conspiracy theories on behalf of Trump. To be clear, Nunes has no background in tech, aside from suing Twitter over a fake parody account called @DevinNunesCow, which routinely mocked him while in Congress. A judge ultimately ruled against Nunes — because, you know, free speech – which makes his selection as CEO of Trump Me...
With Matt Reeves’ The Batman set to arrive in a matter of months, Colin Farrell has signed on for an HBO Max spinoff series based on his character The Penguin. According to Variety, he has been tapped to both star in and executive produce the show. While the series will reportedly dive into Penguin’s rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld, it’s not clear if it will be a direct follow-up or a prequel. We’ll have to wait until The Batman hits theaters on March 4th, 2022 to see if the character is already a villain or just beginning his descent. One of the most infamous members of Batman’s Rogues Gallery, the Penguin, aka Oswald Cobblepot, has a rich history of live-action portrayals. On the TV side, Burgess Meredith played the top-hat-and-monocle wearing baddie in the 1960...
