To celebrate its two-year anniversary on Disney+ Day, the Disney streaming platform delivered a preview for its highly-anticipated upcoming series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, the Lucasfilm production offers insight into seminal moments of the Star Wars universe and a look into how Kenobi faced the descent of Anakin Skywalker into Darth Vader.
With notes from Ewan McGregor, who reprises his role of legendary Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and director Deborah Chow, the preview shares concept art for the outlook of the show. Showing Obi-Wan leaving Luke Skywalker on the desolated planet of Tatooine, the preview notes the dark time for the last remaining Jedi. Before touching on the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader, teasing an upcoming lightsaber battle between the Sith Lord and his former master.
