Caroline Polachek has shared a new single titled “Billions.” It’s co-produced by Polachek and Danny L Harle and arrives with a visual co-directed by Polachek and Matt Copson. The new single is getting released on 7″ vinyl with a B-side featuring a rework of Polachek’s recent Oneohtrix Point Never collaboration “Long Road Home.” Check out the video for “Billions” below; plus, hear “Long Road Home.”
“Billions” is Polachek’s second new solo track within the last year, following last summer’s “Bunny Is a Rider.” In a September New Yorker profile, Polachek said that the song began with a beat from Harle. “I wanted something that captured the afterglow of a reopening,” she said.
Since 2019’s Pang, Polachek has released an instrumental counterpart for the record, plus a collection of remixes and bonus tracks that included a cover of the Corrs’ “Breathless.” She joined Christine & the Queens for “La vita nuova,” and they both appeared alongside Charli XCX on “New Shapes.”
