Watch the video for the Tay Keith-produced track, directed by Lado Kvataniya, below.
“Hot Shit” is Cardi’s first single as a solo artist since 2021, when she released the track “Bet It.” Following the single’s release, Cardi teamed up with Summer Walker and SZA for “No Love (Extended Version).” She’s has also continued to release collaborative tracks with artists like Lizzo (“Rumors”), Migos (“Type Shit”), and Normani (“Wild Side”), among others. Her debut album, Invasion of Privacy, was released in 2018.
Cardi gave birth to her second child with Migos rapper Offset in 2021 and interviewed Joe Biden in the lead-up to the 2020 U.S. presidential election. In 2022, she met with the New York City mayor’s office and agreed to help cover burial expenses for those who lost their lives in the devastating January 9 Bronx apartment fire.
