Six years after the last installment arrived, Capcom has finally announced Street Fighter 6.
Announced through a short teaser trailer released at the close of the Capcom Pro Tour fighting game exhibition, the clip features fan-favorite Ryu confronting Luke, the last character to join Street Fighter 5 and who was also teased previously to be joining the sequel. According to IGN, despite leaving Capcom, previous Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono will also be involved in the creation of the next installment.
On top of announcing Street Fighter 6, Capcom also unveiled the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection, which features 10 classic fighting games including the entire Darkstalkers franchise. The release will arrive on June 24 and you’ll be able to play it on PC via Steam, the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Unfortunately, other details revolving around the game remain scarce for now, but more about its development is expected to arrive this summer, so fans of the franchise should definitely stay tuned for more updates to come.
