The reign of shotguns in Call of Duty: Vanguard is finally coming to an end.
Whether you’re completely new to the franchise or a seasoned enthusiast, those who’ve been playing Call of Duty: Vanguard over the past couple of weeks will no doubt have realized just how powerful some of the shotguns are in multiplayer, being both extremely strong against enemies and having very little reload and cycling times. Thankfully, Activision and Sledgehammer Games have finally decided to give the weapon class a well-deserved Nerf.
Taking to Twitter to announce the upcoming changes, Sledgehammer posted a GIF of some teenagers playing with NERF guns along with the caption “We’re here to perform a shotgun exorcism.” While it hasn’t shared any exact or detailed plans regarding how the weapon class will be changed, fans are nonetheless welcoming the move from the developer, hoping it’ll create a more balanced game following a flood of videos on YouTube showcasing some pretty game-breaking sprees from players and streamers running around with shotguns.
