Cadillac Unveils Its Latest Concept: The SOLLEI

Cadillac has introduced the SOLLEI concept vehicle, a luxury, coach-built, all-electric convertible. The SOLLEI, a 2+2 convertible, features a striking 55-inch pillar-to-pillar screen, a luxurious interior and sophisticated exterior lighting choreography. Its name, derived from “sun” (SOL) and “leisure” (LEI), encapsulates Cadillac’s vision of a leisurely, open-air lifestyle.

“SOLLEI reimagines the discovery of travel, offering a personalized driving experience that connects with the natural world,” said Erin Crossley, Cadillac’s design director. This concept celebrates Cadillac’s legacy of elegant convertibles with a modern twist, emphasizing high luxury and design innovation.

Cadillac’s collaboration with MycoWorks introduces Fine Mycelium material, a renewable resource used in the vehicle’s charging mats and door pockets. This bio-based material marks a new era in luxury automotive interiors. Additional interior details include a beverage chiller, illuminated décor and hand-cut wood veneers. At the exterior, the SOLLEI features a low, elongated body with bold proportions, finished in a meticulously hand-painted “Manila Cream,” a color reminiscent of classic Cadillacs.

Notably, the SOLLEI’s ambient lighting offers 126 color options across multiple zones. Unique accessories for bird-watching enthusiasts like a custom leather case with 3D printed bird calls, enhance the connection to nature. First unveiled at the Cadillac House at Vanderbilt in Michigan, the SOLLEI concept signifies Cadillac’s vision for modern, bespoke luxury, paying homage to its storied past while looking forward to an innovative future.
