Cadillac Unveils Its 2025 All-Electric Escalade IQ

Cadillac has revealed its latest all-electric offering, the 2025 Escalade IQ, full of luxurious options and updated tech features.

The vehicle launches with a starting price of $130,000 USD or $170,000 if built to the specifications of the example in the gallery above, according to the automaker’s site. No matter what bells and whistles a buyer selects, it all comes powered by a massive 200kWh battery that features a range of 450 miles — enabling the vehicle to stand up next to any competitor in the EV market.

While it won’t have the roar and hum of its combustion-engined counterpart, the EV variant offers just as much of a menacing roadside presence, if not more thanks to its shortened rear end and elongated hood — which ironically houses an “eTrunk” that provides an additional 12 cubic feet of storage.

With its “Velocity Max” mode, the Escalade IQ ensures a 0-60 mph time in just under five seconds, powered by an impressive 750 horsepower and 785 lb-ft of torque — facilitated by a dual-motor “eAWD” system.

The vehicle is set to release in two design versions, Luxury and Sport, created to cater to varied aesthetic tastes. Interiors can be customized with one of four themes, alongside ambient lighting with 126 color options. On the tech side of things, the Escalade IQ outdoes itself, boasting a 55-inch LED display powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 12 Cockpit Platform. Additionally, it incorporates Google’s suite for navigation, which includes Google Maps and hands-free commands.

Other interesting tech updates include a new Super Cruise advanced driver-assist system, which offers hands-free driving on a large network of North American highways. Additionally, the IQ offers a feature dubbed “Arrival Mode,” which can best be compared to the “Crab Walk” of GMC’s EV Hummer. Other notable aspects include four-wheel steering, Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 and advanced safety features.

As has come to be expected with the Escalade line, the IQ offers a large range of creature comforts and luxury additions, including an optional executive second-row seating that comes with features like stowaway trays, rear personal screens, massaging seats with built-in AKG Studio speakers and more.

While charging is usually the bane of existence or deal breaker for most would-be EV drivers, the Escalade IQ offers a convenient quick charge mode that allows for the gain of 100 miles in just 10 minutes at compatible stations.
