Last week, BTS’ label Big Hit revealed two audio teasers for “Butter. The first clip shows Jungkook spreading a pat of butter onto a piece of toast, while the second features a blond RM looking cool as he saunters into the frame.
Ahead of the teaser clips, BTS shared a 60-minute video featuring an animated pat of butter melting against a yellow background.
In a previous news release, the K-pop stars described “Butter” as “a dance pop track brimming with the smooth yet charismatic charm of BTS.” It’s the group’s second English-language tune, and the follow-up to the 2020 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 smash “Dynamite.”
BTS have been on a roll this year, landing a brand ambassador gig for Louis Vuitton, as well as popping up in a Samsung Mother’s Day commercial and launching a promotional meal deal with McDonald’s.
In late April, the Billboard Music Awards announced that BTS is a finalist in four categories for the 2021 event: top duo/group, top song sales artist, top social artist, and top selling song.
