Ahead of the reveal of his full-length project, Right Place, Wrong Person, BTS‘ RM has released a new single “Come back to me.” Alongside the new track is short film for its music video. The nearly seven minute song sees the K-pop star searching for meaning. While the song itself is a work of art, so is the short film.
Directed by BEEF‘s Lee Sung Jin, the film also stars South Korean actress Kim Minha who is recently known for her role in Apple TV+’s Pachinko. Other cast members include, Joseph Lee, who also starred in BEEF, Lee Seokhyung, Kim A Hyun, Choi Seung Yoon, Lee Sang Hee, Kang Gil Woo and Gi So Yoo. RM previously teased the song “Come back to me” onstage when he performed at his band mate Suga’s “Agust D Tour” in Seoul. All the members of BTS are currently in serving their military enlistment and while RM has is fulfilling this at the moment, he was able to record and prepare the album before leaving to complete his mandatory time in the South Korean military.
The full Right Place, Wrong Person album is slated to arrive on May 24. As of now, fans will just have to be held over with the release of RM’s poetic and introspective new track “Come back to me.” Have a listen to the song below and watch the full short film above.
