BTS member Jungkook has officially confirmed the announcement of his new single “Seven.”
The track is said to be on its way later this July and is a nod to the band. The number seven is an important motif to the group, which features seven members. The details on the song are still held closely under wraps, however a press release indicated that Jungkook’s solo track is a “fun summer song.” Shortly after the news of his new single was announced, the artist went live on Weverse and shared his own statement regarding the release of his single. Twitter account @BTStranslation_ noted that he said, “It’s quite great, and I’m so excited. I just want to let you know that I am working on my album, too.”
Details of his new album are currently unclear. In the past, Jungkook has rapped on BTS projects and had his own solo tracks within the group. He also had his hand in directing when he led the music video for the band’s 2020 single, “Life Goes On.” Jungkook’s new single “Seven” releases on July 14.
