BTS’ Jimin is expanding his own catalog with the announcement of his second solo album, MUSE.
Although the famed K-pop stars are currently fulfilling their military obligations, that isn’t keeping them from releasing solo works. Jimin’s debut solo studio album, FACE, was released on March 24, 2023. The album went on to make Jimin the first South Korean solo artist to top the Billboard 100 chart. Just a little over a year and the singer is already back with more.
With MUSE, Jimiun underscores his personal journey of finding inspiration. The album is set to feature seven tracks, one of which, “Closer Than This” was already released in December of 2023 in dedication to his fans. “Don’t have to worry now / Letting go of your hand for a moment,” he sings on the track. “But it’s only a small comma in our story / Just call my name out loud / Until the days tinge purple once again.”
Other BTS members have also been working as well. RM earned his biggest solo debut with his new album Right Place, Wrong Person opening at No. 5 and Suga released a concert film documenting his global solo tour.
Jimin’s sophomore album MUSE is set to be released worldwide on Friday, July 19.
