Later in the clip, Martin travels to South Korea for a touching first meeting with the boys of BTS, who refer to him as the “king of stadium tours,” a “role model” and a “great influence.” Other standout moments include Martin breaking into laughter as he attempts to sing in Korean, and watching the musicians circle around the mic to belt out the track’s soaring chorus.
In addition to the documentary, Coldplay’s label Parlophone Records announced that the Supernova 7 Mix and acoustic version of “My Universe” will be available at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday. The official music video, directed by Dave Meyers, will be “coming soon,” according to Parlophone’s update.
“My Universe,” which is sung in both English and Korean, is the second single after “Higher Power” released ahead of Coldplay’s ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres. The Max Martin-produced album is scheduled for release on Oct. 15. Music of the Spheres is the follow-up to Coldplay’s 2019 double album, Everyday Life, which led the Official U.K. Albums chart and peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.
