Bryson Tiller Announces Self-Titled Album, Drops off “CALYPSO”

Bryson Tiller Announces Self-Titled Album, Drops off "CALYPSO"

Bryson Tiller took today’s Tiller Tuesday to the next level. Tiller not only announced his next project – which takes the form of a self-titled LP – but also gave us a glimpse at what we can expect from him on the new album, dropping off “CALYPSO” to continue the rollout.

He presented a trailer for the self-titled album as well, which is rooted in themes of technology and artificial intelligence.

The trailer kicks off with a discerning news report on the dangers of AI, and then pivots to Tiller cooking up in the lab. “Just please, don’t bring that thing home,” Tiller’s love interest says over the phone in regards to the rapper’s new Frankenstein-esque creation he’s finalizing.

“We did it. Finally f*cking did it. They counted us out for years. Can’t count him out though. He’s perfect,” Tiller explains, introducing us to the robot.

“I hope so. This is Version 5. I thought Version 1 was perfect and it wasn’t.”

Tiller’s self-titled album marks his fourth studio album, and will arrive nearly four years after 2020’s A N N I V E R S A R Y.

“CALYPSO” marks the project’s third track, following up the viral cut “Whatever She Wants” – which Tiller officially dropped off last month – and his 2022 single “Outside.” Per Apple Music, “Whatever She Wants” lands as the project’s 19th and final track, dubbed a “Bonus” offering.

“I know it’s been a while since we released the first single for BTA, but my boy needed a little more work,” Tiller wrote of “CALYPSO” when he announced its release last night.

The Bryson Tiller album is expected to drop on April 5.

Until then, stream “CALYPSO” on Spotify and Apple Music now.
