Bruce Springsteen postpones remainder of 2023 tour dates due to peptic ulcer disease

Bruce Springsteen postpones remainder of 2023 tour dates due to peptic ulcer disease

Bruce Springsteen has now postponed all of his remaining 2023 tour dates to next year while he recovers from peptic ulcer disease.

A statement posted to social media revealed Springsteen “has continued to recover steadily from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment through the rest of the year on doctor’s advice.” However, his 2023 tour is being postponed “out of an abundance of caution.”

The rescheduled dates — including those already postponed earlier this month — will be announced next week, with all shows taking place at their originally scheduled venues. All tickets will be honored at the new dates, while fans who purchased their tickets through official ticketing companies can request a refund within 30 days.

“Thanks to all my friends and fans for your good wishes, encouragement, and support. I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year,” Springsteen said in a statement.

In August, Springsteen was forced to postpone a pair of concerts in Philadelphia due to an undisclosed illness. Those shows were later rescheduled for August 2024, but Springsteen and the E Street Band returned to the stage and played their scheduled multi-night stands in Foxborough, MA and East Rutherford, NJ. The latter shows at MetLife Stadium included the best setlist of the tour.
