A representative revealed the cause of death of actor Andre Braugher, who died on Monday at 61 years old.
The rep told Deadline that the Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Homicide: Life On The Street star died from lung cancer several months after his diagnosis. He is survived by his wife Ami Brabson and their three sons.
Braugher is best known for his role as Captain Raymond Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine from 2013 to 2021 and Detective Frank Pembleton on the NBC police drama series Homicide: Life on the Street from 1993 to 1999. His career spanned over 30 years, and he was awarded two Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Award nominations.
