Broken Social Scene Announce North American Tour and New Graphic Novel

Broken Social Scene have announced a string of North American tour dates kicking off in September. The Toronto indie collective will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the breakthrough LP You Forgot It in People on the upcoming trek, performing the album in full at each concert. Tickets go on sale Friday (May 6). Find Broken Social Scene’s full schedule below.

Broken Social Scene have also announced a new graphic novel in conjunction with the pivotal LP. They’ve paired with Z2 comics and writer Lonnie Nadler for Broken Social Scene: You Forgot It in People, The Graphic Novel. The book reimagines the LP into a series of intertwining vignettes. Along with Nadler, 13 visual artists contributed to the graphic novel, which will be released along with a 10″ vinyl single of “Lover’s Spit” that includes the original album version as well as a stripped back B-side with Feist on vocals. The second extra is a cassette mixtape of unreleased instrumental compositions.

Earlier this year, Broken Social Scene issued the career-spanning Old Dead Young: B-Sides & Rarities set. Their last studio LP was 2017’s Hug of Thunder.
