Britney Spears says a second volume of her memoir will be released in 2024.
Volume one of The Woman in Me was released last Tuesday. Already, Spears claims, it’s “the highest selling celebrity memoir in history,” and it currently sits at No. 1 on Amazon.
But, apparently, the 41-year-old singer still has more to say. “Humor is the cure to everything !!! Play on !!! Volume 2 will be released next year … get ready !!!” Spears wrote in an Instagram post on Saturday.
In his review of the book, Consequence features editor Wren Graves called The Woman in Me “a remarkable and haunting tale of generational trauma.”

Among the revelations in volume one, Spears said she felt “infantilized” during her 13-year-conservatorship. She also revealed that she had an abortion with her ex boyfriend, Justin Timberlake, and she accused the members of *NSYNC — especially Timberlake — of “try[ing] too hard” to fit in with Black artists.
However, Spears said she didn’t aim to “offend anyone” with the tell-all book. “My book’s purpose was not to offend anyone by any means !!!” Spears wrote in an Instagram post Friday (October 20th). “That was me then … that is in the past !!! I don’t like some of the headlines I’m reading … that’s exactly why I quit the music business four years ago !!! Most of the book is from 20 years ago … I have moved on and it’s a beautiful clean slate from here !!!”
