Bring Me the Horizon part ways with Jordan Fish

Bring Me the Horizon have parted ways with keyboardist/programmer Jordan Fish, who exits after 11 years in the UK band.

Fish was an integral member of Bring Me the Horizon, having joined in time for the writing and recording of their seminal 2013 album Sempiternal. He helped introduce a more melodic sound that saw BMTH evolve from their early deathcore years and reach legions of new fans.

Both the band and Fish issued statements on his departure, with BMTH stating, “Bring Me the Horizon has decided to part ways with Jordan Fish. We want to thank him for the musical journey he took with us and wish him luck with everything in the future. Meanwhile we continue to work on [our upcoming album] NeX GEn, with brand new music coming very soon. See you on our UK tour in January.”

Fish wrote, “I’m really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together. I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I’m excited to start this next chapter in my career.”

Overall, Fish appeared on three albums, including Sempiternal, 2015’s That’s the Spirit, and 2019’s amo. His contribution to the upcoming album, POST HUMAN: NeX GEn, are unclear. The LP was supposed to arrive in September of this year but was delayed to an as-yet-unannounced new release date.

As BMTH mentioned, the band has a UK tour coming up in late January. That will be followed by an Australian tour in April, and and an appearance at Las Vegas’ Sick New World Festival on April 27th. After that, a run of European festivals will take place in June and July.
