boygenius have announced a surprise new EP called the rest, which will be released on October 13th via Interscope.
The four-track EP includes a song called “Black Hole,” which the band debuted during their concert in Boston on Monday night. The titles of the other three songs have not yet been revealed. Pre-orders for the EP are now ongoing.
the rest follows boygenius’ full-length debut album, the record, which was released back in March.

Monday’s show in Boston marked the beginning of boygenius’ latest run of US tour dates. Their itinerary includes a headlining performance at Madison Square Garden in New York City, an appearance at the All Things Go Festival in Columbia, MD, and a Halloween show at Hollywood Bowl with 100 gecs.
