Today, BMW has revealed its all-new lineup of 2024 5 Series models including the 530i, 530i xDrive, i5 eDrive40, i5 M60 xDrive and the 540i xDrive.
Leading the charge is the fully-electric i5 M60 xDrive, which boasts 580 hp and a 0-60 mph time for 3.7 seconds. Additional specifications include a total system torque of 549 lb-ft, or 605 lv-ft when the M Sport Boost or M Launch Control is engaged and a 256-mile range. Another standout model is the electric i5 eDrive40, which includes 335 hp, max 317 lb-ft torque, 0-60 mph in 5.7 seconds and a 295-mile range.
Updated exterior features of the new 5 Series range include a sporty yet simplified design with elongated proportions, an almost upright BMW kidney grille, a high shoulder line for a slimming side profile and redesigned contour lighting. Inside the cars, a highlight is the new frameless glass curved display which features a 12.3-inch display behind the steering wheel and a 14.9-inch control display. The new display also marks the debut of in-car gaming with AirConsole.
Throughout the entire range, there is a selection of interior and exterior customizations alongside the automaker’s signature M Sport package.
