BMW Mexico is marking three decades of excellence with the release of the limited-edition BMW M2 Coupé 30 Years Edition. Paying tribute to the brand’s legacy in the country, only 30 units of this special edition model will be available. Designed by José Casas, a Mexican designer based in Munich, the car is a celebration of both BMW’s sporty heritage and the talents of the Mexican workforce.
Equipped with a 3L inline six-cylinder engine, the M2 30 Years Edition produces an impressive 480 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque, delivering power across a broad rev range from 2,650 to 6,130 RPM. The car features BMW’s signature M TwinPower Turbo technology, including high-precision injection and variable valve control. Paired with a six-speed manual transmission, the M2 offers rear-wheel drive, M traction control and the Active M Differential.
The manual transmission includes a Gear Shift Assistant to ensure smooth downshifting, a feature that can be deactivated for purists seeking full control. The engine block is race-inspired, featuring lightweight materials and advanced engineering for high performance on the track.
This limited edition comes in two colors — BMW Individual Frozen Portimao Blue or Frozen Pure Grey — and boasts a sporty interior with carbon fiber accents, Merino leather seats and an Alcantara M Sport steering wheel. The BMW M2 Coupé 30 Years Edition is now available at dealerships across Mexico with a price tag of $121,700 USD.
