Blizzard’s Free-to-Play ‘Diablo: Immortal’ Is Launching Simultaneously on PC

Blizzard has now announced the long-awaited release date for Diablo: Immortal as well as its simultaneous release on PC. Now slated to arrive on PC, iOS and Android in June, Blizzard says it has listened to fan feedback and finally decided to port the game over for those who wish to play it on their computers instead.

The free-to-play title will once again bring players back to Sanctuary, with six classes to choose from: Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer and Wizard. The game’s PvE side will allow parties of up to eight players while a faction-based PvP system called the Cycle of Strife will see players fight for the Eternal Crown.

With PC now on the table, the developer has also included cross-platform play and cross-progression, giving you the flexibility to move between your devices depending on where you are. Interestingly, Diablo: Immortal will also move away from the franchise’s usual point-and-click movement system and instead utilize directional control through your keyboard. The change also allowed Blizzard to incorporate support for controllers on PC.

For fans of the franchise, Diablo: Immortal will launch on both mobile platforms and PC on June 2.

Elsewhere in gaming, new Skate 4 leaks suggest that players will be able to build custom skateparks together.
