Titan Comics will be releasing a comic book sequel to the anime television show Blade Runner: Black Lotus. The comic book series will span four issues and is scheduled to launch on June 1.
“Elle, AKA Black Lotus, hoped she could leave behind her violent past and find a new life. But is that possible in a world where replicants are still hunted and feared?,” Titan Comics described the new series.
Junggeun Yoon, Creees Lee, Concept Art, and Mico Suayan created different pieces of cover art for the first issue of the mini-series.
Swamp Thing’s Nancy Collins is writing the comic books and Hawkeye: Kate Bishop’s Enid Balam, who also works for Marvel, is illustrating.
A collaboration between Crunchyroll and Adult Swim, Blade Runner: Black Lotus premiered in November last year and ran until February. Set in Los Angeles in 2032, the show follows a woman who wakes up with amnesia and possessing of some deadly skills. With a locked data device and a tattoo as her only clues, she must hunt down those responsible for her past.
