“What I’ve learned more than anything recently, is that it’s not enough to be anti-racist. We have to be educated and informed, we have to be proactive and take action, we have to take a stand and be brave, we have to have uncomfortable conversations and we have to own up to how we’ve failed our Black friends, and then show up for them and become allies. The we starts with I, I need to and WILL do all of this too. I am a privileged white person that has a massive platform that can and will continue to be used to bring awareness, share resources, take action and implore my community to do the same. I will never personally understand the pain and suffering that the Black community faces on a daily basis, but I am infuriated and devastated for you and WITH YOU. It starts from within, which means I will be going on a personal journey to become more informed, to bring more diversity to my teams and my platforms, and especially my brands. I will influence with intent, share with you the way I’ve always done, and hopefully encourage my followers to take a stand too. No matter what size your voice, it matters.”
