Starting the new year right, Yeti Out‘s Hong Kong via London-based label Silk Road Sounds has now delivered its very first release. Titled “down by the river,” the single is off of Gothenburg left-field rapper Blå Värld‘s recently released debut album HÆRTBRÆK CITY.
The self-produced track effortlessly blends genres in a refreshing expression of reggae and dancehall, further bolstered by collaborator Eek-A-Mouse’s distinctive style. The contribution to the new project serves as a look into Blå Värld’s outlook for his 21-track LP, HÆRTBRÆK CITY.
Accompanied by a music video shot and directed by Yeti Out’s Arthur Bray, “down by the river” is a psychedelic romance tribute to Tokyo that explores late-night exploration, self-doubt, realization, and new faces.
