Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ Spends Second Consecutive Week at No. 1

Billie Eilish’s ‘Happier Than Ever’ Spends Second Consecutive Week at No. 1

Billie Eilish‘s sophomore album Happier Than Ever is holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart for a second consecutive week.

The record moved 85,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending August 12, a 64 percent decrease from the previous week, which was the fifth largest of 2021. Of those units, 49,000 comprised of SEA units, which equaled 66.1 million on-demand streams, and 36,000 consisted of album sales.

Happier Than Ever is the second album this year to hold the No. 1 spot for its first two weeks, following Morgan Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album.

Happier Than Ever debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, after selling 230,000 copies, including 153,000 traditional sales, in the first week following its release. The traditional sales number included 129,000 physical copies, with 73,000 vinyl sales, 46,000 CD sales and just below 10,000 cassette sales. The remaining 24,000 units derived from digital downloads.

Elsewhere on the charts, Nas‘ King’s Disease II debuted at No. 3, earning 56,000 equivalent album units after its release on August 6. The ranking marks the rapper’s 15th top 10 album on the Billboard 200 and his most successful effort since 2012. Nas first charted a top 10 album 25 years ago, when his sophomore studio album, It Was Written, claimed the No. 1 spot in 1996.
