Big Sean Gets Swarmed by Bees in New “What a Life” Visual

Big Sean Gets Swarmed by Bees in New “What a Life” Visual

Big Sean has returned with a new track, “What A Life,” in collaboration with Hit-Boy, along with an accompanying music video.

The single, which arrives as the follow-up to his previous Hit-Boy tracks, Babyface Ray’s “It Ain’t My Fault” and Freddie Gibbs‘ “4 Thangs,” marks the rapper’s first release as lead artist of 2021. On the track, Sean drops bars on his rise to fame and the ups and downs of living life in the spotlight.

“Only get one life, swear I almost died twice,” he raps. “I went triple platinum more than three times, what a life, man/Feel like god when they bless me with the trick dice/And I left her ass on read, even though it was enticin’.”

In the Joe Well-directed visual, the rapper finds himself swarmed by hundreds of bees, levitating through the sky and running away from a posse of brides, among several other outlandish scenarios.

Ahead of the track’s debut, Sean stopped by Power 106’s L.A Leakers earlier this week to deliver a strong freestyle over Drake‘s “Love All” and Kanye West‘s “Hurricane,” along with Nardo Wick‘s “Who Want Smoke??” and JAY-Z‘s “Dear Summer.” Sean’s almost nine-minute freestyle was also produced by Hit-Boy.
