Big Bang has made their long-awaited comeback with the release of a new track called “Still Life.” Reports that the K-pop boyband had filmed a music video began circulating in mid-March. On April 1 and 2, Big Bang dropped teasers of the single’s lyrics. Then, a day ahead of the release, they began a countdown to midnight KST on YG Entertainment‘s website.
“Still Life” is a gentle rock track with thoughtful lyrics and composition that includes the contributions of the group’s own G-Dragon and T.O.P. celebrating the arrival of the spring season, Big Bang reminisces about their youth, singing “goodbye now to my beloved young days.”
“Boy looking over at the sky,” T.O.P raps. “Doing well throughout the four seasons, goodbye.”
In an accompanying music video, the members perform aboard an abandoned ship, overgrown with yellow flowers. The soft and idyllic landscape seems to perfectly pair with the emotional reuniting of the band and their fans.
