BIA tapped J. Cole for a guest feature on her new single “LONDON.” Alongside the track’s release, the duo teamed up for a high-production music video.
The song opens with BIA rapping about touching down in the eponymous English city. In the accompanying visual, she goes on a shopping spree and walks her pet dalmatians down the street.
After BIA makes mention of copping new Prada, Dior and Louis Vuitton, Cole enters with a rapid-fire verse of his own.
“I like to shop in the District,” he raps. “Coppin’ this, coppin’ that, I’m proper capitalistic.”
The two rappers link up to drop bars on a rooftop before leaving London via speedboat.
On Instagram, Cole expressed his appreciation for his collaborator and said that he had thought about the song for a month before BIA even hit him up to appear on it. “When the thought and conversation came up about me adding a verse, I was excited but genuinely nervous cuz I didn’t even see how the song could be better after what she did to it,” Cole wrote. “I didn’t want to f*** nothing up! I’m grateful I ended up catching the right wave.”
